Oh Junsung Joins 1. FC Saarbrücken TT for the Champions League

1. FC Saarbrücken TT is strengthening its roster for the HYLO ETTU Champions League by signing South Korean national team player Oh Junsung. The 20-year-old is considered one of the greatest talents in international table tennis and will support the reigning Champions League champions in Europe’s premier club competition during the 2026–27 season.

The South Korean has long been among the world’s elite and has made a name for himself with strong performances on the WTT Tour and with the national team. At the same time, this signing continues a special family legacy: His father, Oh Sangeun, was one of South Korea’s most successful players for many years and played in Europe himself.

As a four-time consecutive Champions League winner, 1. FC Saarbrücken TT is entering the upcoming season with high ambitions. The goal is clear: FCS aims to contend for the title again in 2026/27.

Erwin Berg, Sports Director of 1. FC Saarbrücken TT: “We’ve been keeping an eye on Oh Junsung for quite some time. Despite his young age, he’s already among the world’s best and is an excellent fit for our team, both on and off the court. With our increasingly packed international schedule, it’s important to broaden our roster even further. Oh will bring us additional quality and stability. We’re very pleased that we were able to sign him for our Champions League team, and we’re looking forward to his first matches in the FCS jersey.”
